4 Easy Steps To Making Great Compost

Step 1

Fill the first drum with your mix of organic leftovers and yard scraps, and close the door. Let this chamber begin to "cook." When you have more throwouts to compost, just begin filling the second drum.

Step 2

Once a day, turn the handle to rotate the ComposT-Twin several times. Mix and aerate your material and build up a heat core for fast decomposition.

Step 3

In several weeks, open, empty, and enjoy the first compost bin of finished compost. Now, you can begin using this side of the compost bin for your daily scraps and let the other side of the composting bin continue to "cook"!

Step 4

Use compost generously in your garden! Dig it into the top 4" of vegetable and flower beds; spread a 3" to 4" layer as a mulch around trees, shrubs, perennials, fruit trees and berries; top dress your lawn with compost; and use screened compost with potted plants.
